Background
In her 20s, Blue Topaz Founder Dani Petrunich desperately needed a health coach that could help her get her ever-increasing weight and unruly blood sugars under control. She searched and searched, but was never able to find the right coach—someone with expertise in both diabetes management and general fitness, not just one or the other.

So, Dani took it upon herself to figure it out. She spent time, money, and effort on various forms of therapy and coaching, obtained relevant certifications, spent time conducting research, and used good old fashioned trial-and-error in her own life to put the pieces of diabetes and health + wellness together.

Today, Dani feels confident again in her diabetes management and physical body, and has a passion for sharing all that she's learned with other women struggling with those same things. She started Blue Topaz Health Coaching in July of 2025 to be the coach younger her was looking for: someone able to help women achieve both their diabetes management and body composition goals. Someone who has a holistic view of health and wellness, and who believes in making authentic and sustainable lifestyle changes that work for individual needs, not just following fad diets and trends.

Just as our bodies, minds, emotions, and spirits are interconnected, so too are humans connected to each other. Respect each other, learn from each other, and do your best to act with love in your heart...it may very well be the point of this whole thing. We value community and connection, and find ways to bring people together.
Our Coaching Philosophy

At Blue Topaz, we don’t believe in bandaid solutions: we want to get to the root of the issue and address it head-on. Our bodies are deeply interconnected, so by addressing our diabetes challenges, we also improve our physical health, mental well-being, and overall outlook on life. We coach with a holistic, whole-body approach in mind.

Lasting change doesn’t come from short bursts of monumental effort. We focus on small, doable actions that you can perform day in and day out...and that add up to major transformation over time.
